Warwickshire CPSA

The WM Area Skeet Championship was held at Doveridge on Sunday 1st June in near perfect conditions. Warwickshire shooters finished among the medals after a shoot off to determine the WM Champion for 2008.

After shooting 100 straight, (one of 7) Nick Marsden finished in the runner up spot collecting the Silver medal after the shoot off. Staffordshires Dave Beardsmore won the Championship.

Warwickshire's Ladies shot well with Sara Chambers posting 96 to equal the highest score of the day in the ladies category. Unfortunately Sara could not stay to shoot off for the ladies Gold which was taken by Ann Fielding also on 96. Just one target behind the Gold and Silver medal winners was Rachel Ingram taking a well earned Bronze medal, she's more usually found on the sporting scene and shooting some great scores this year. It seems Rachel can do an equally good job on the skeet range.

After strugling with a run of poor form recently, Brian Tullett made a welcome return to form to take the Bronze in the Vets category with a tidy 98.
