07/06/2009 - Both Stu Thomas and Matt Fallon shot 100 straight in the regional ESK championship held at Doveridge in a downpour. They found themselves shooting off for the medal positions with Derbyshire lady skeeter Nicola Wilcox. Matt was first to drop a target, shooting doubles on station 4 after all three of them had shot an additional round of 25 straight to put them on 125. With the bronze medal resolved Stu and Nicola continued until eventually Stu let one run on giving him Silver overall and the Veterans GOLD, Nicola is the first (that we can recall) champion that has come from the ladies. Well done to all that braved a very wet Sunday to compete.
